Tiny Totos

Tiny Totos is a Kenyan social enterprise working since 2014 to ensure that all children can access quality early learning and care, no matter their income. They achieve this by transforming informal babysitters into childcare businesswomen through training, access to capital, networking, and technology, which leads to improved care for children and profitable childcare centers. Tiny Totos builds on local networks and market demand, avoiding dependency and promoting self-agency.

In our collaboration with Tiny Totos, we developed the UI/UX design for their daycare manager app, field workers app, and parents app. These applications are integral to their model, providing daycare managers with tools to efficiently run their centers, enabling field workers to monitor and support daycare operations, and offering parents a platform to engage with and select quality childcare services. Our designs focused on user-friendliness and accessibility to ensure that all stakeholders can effectively utilize these tools to enhance childcare services across Nairobi’s informal settlements.
