The African Centre For Women Information & Communications Technology

Technology transforming lives

Established in 2001, The African Centre for Women, Information, and Communications Technology (ACWICT) is a Kenya-based ICT for Development (ICT4D) Organization, with a regional reach whose mission is to promote women and youth access to and knowledge of ICTs as tools for sustainable development. Our team built a new website dedicated to young women & youth in Kenya. The site showcases opportunities, partnerships and programmes in the world of ICT for development in Kenya

The site is targeted at 18-35-year-old audience of women and youth. So our team instantly blew past all the typical templates for these kinds of sites. The idea was to develop an information portal that reflected the most happening design trends and where you can find content relevant to the visitor. We created an interactive website that stands apart from the same old. Site animation is a really, really big deal. It’s so much more than aesthetics and looking good because it dictates interactivity. Micro-animations often act like hints

"We love the incredible job done by the Cchora team. Our site is not only effective, it is unique in the NGO field in Kenya"

Constantine Were (CEO, ACWICT)
